Paige and Josh visited Kelowna and instantly fell in love with Canada’s wine country. A fine-art, elegant, and ethereal design created a welcoming environment for guests as they enjoyed the rolling vineyards and lake views. The highest quality of wines were served to please guests traveling from Italy and beyond. A 4-course plated dinner service encouraged conversation and enjoyment amongst a small, intimate guest count. Classic nibbles from Northern Spain: cheese, meats, pickles & sliced bread were paired with refreshing sparkling wines.
Cosmos and various wild flowers were incorporated in a delicate buttercream yellow colour palette to tie in the bride’s love for wildflowers. Various white and yellow flowers with various textured greens created natural, bespoke arrangements that were elevated, while still remaining wild and organic.
The cake was intentionally designed to highlight the bride’s dress and accessories. The fondant on the cake was organically draped to reflect the fabric detailing on the bride’s dress, with pearl accents sprinkled throughout to reflect the bride’s jewelry and accessories. The cake also had a custom layer of PB & J to tie in the couple’s initials and emblem for their wedding day.
The couple says anything PB & J has become their signature flavour and is something their friends and family always incorporate at dinner parties and the like.
Live musician was important to the couple as their original plan was to get married in Italy, where live music is heavily incorporated in Italian culture. While the bride and groom scooped gelato from their custom gelato cart, songs including That’s Amore by Dean Martin, Volare by Dean Martin and On An Evening in Roma by Dean Martin were played to create an enchanting, European atmosphere.
The guests felt like they were transported to Italy in the 1950s while scooping gelato and sorbet, while sipping on espresso and wine. A custom gelato cart was designed to incorporate the groom’s Italian roots. Amore Mio Gelato offered artisan gelato, including a custom flavour PB & J, the bride and groom’s initials.
A bespoke coffee cart offering authentic, high quality coffee and espresso was also designed to create an elevated experience for guests during cocktail hour. Both artisan carts were placed side by side on the lawn, creating an experience similar to one would receive strolling the streets in Italy. Various lounge furniture set-ups were placed on the lawn for guests to sit back and relax while enjoying the views of the rolling vineyards and the water.
